Denny Jiosa

Denny Jiosa, born in Huntington, Indiana, now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his family where he continues to live music and his passion for wine.

Career
Five original CDs span the career of one of the most unique Jazz musicians of the 21century. Denny has a style swirled with technique, sound, and passion that come together in an amazing way. Add a note of Wes Montgomery, a string Carlos Santana, and a bar Eric Clapton and you get the distinguished Denny Jiosa.

His first CD, Moving Pictures, came out in October 1995, and was followed up just one year later by Inner Voices. One of his greatest songs, ‘Lights of the City’ is featured on this album. Jiosa’s ‘Lights of the City’ received the SESAC National Performance Award for the most NAC single airplay of any song that year. Next came Jazzberry Pie, his third CD that was released in 1998. Then in 1999, Among Friends joined the list of great music. The fifth, but not final CD, Body2Body, was released in 2002 and made Jazzweek Top 100 for the year 2003. The release of his next CD is scheduled for Summer 2007.

Jiosa has been nominated for three Grammies while working with Yolanda Adams and one time with Polka great, LynnMarie. But his achievements don’t stop there. His music has been played all over the world. And even the airlines that can take you there, American Airlines, United Airlines, and Korean Airlines. Not only has his music been on those airlines, but his album Body2Body was featured on Air Force One in November 2002.

“Denny Jiosa has a unique style that is hard to find in today's music—his (music) isn't just any old regular smooth jazz. In fact, it doesn't seem like any kind of music out there—except maybe Jiosa Jazz! I can't get enough of him! I love hearing him on XM radio while riding in the car.”—A fan of Jiosa’s.
