10 Reasons Why Teen Dating Is A Waste Of Time

1. Dating is an insecure way to get someone to tell you they love you.

2. It distracts from what is REALLY important. In twenty years do you think that how many times you were kissed in eighth grade is going into your resume?

3. Who is dating who is not all that important as magazines they sell at grocery store check-outs imply. I mean, hello, they're selling these magazines right next to the crossword puzzles and fruit gum!

4. Dating makes you look desperate for attention.

5. The teen are years are supposedly the best years of your life. Why waste them kissing behind McDonald's dumpster or in the back of a sticky movie theater?

6. It is OK to appreciate looks of guys/girls. But when you start following them and looking up their number on White Pages, it goes too far.

7. While dating, we forget family and friends that love us and become too focused on our new BF or GF. Remember the people that will always be there for you too, not ONLY person with their lips locked with yours.

8. Dating will come soon enough, in college and after. Why spend time doing it know when you could be hanging with friends and enjoying your last years of teenage-hood? No one should grow up too fast. ENJOY YOUR LIFE NOW, NOT LATER!

9. Dating hurts other people besides you and your guy/girl. So be considerate.

10. Last but not least, by dating we miss out on great friendships, whether with guys or girls. Dating ruins possible friendships that could last a very, very long time! But when we date that person and break up, we normally don't stay 'just friends' like we mentioned in the 'break up speech'. So don't focus so much on dating as much as on friendships--and we'll have a lot less broken hearts and a lot less high school drama.
