I wrote this for my youth group... I know what you're thinking--another one? But I am honored to be able to have the "opportunity to do it".
Enjoy!
The Ghosts of Christmas
By Queen Alyssa
What would it be like to be a Ghost of Christmas? Luckily, I know my cousin's best friend's brother's girlfriend's hair stylist's sister, who has connections to all three ghosts of Christmas (The Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future), so I was able to set up a personal interview despite their extremely busy schedules.
"People think Scrooge is the only person we ever visited. Well, they can think again. We have at least four cases a night during December. It can be so tiring trying to convince people Christmas—and eggnog—are actually very good things." Says the Ghost of Christmas Past.
"And don't even get me started on their grudges. People can be so stubborn sometimes. Peace is what people need at this time of year. Not hate." GCP (Ghost of Christmas Past) continues.
"As long as there is a Starbucks nearby, we can handle the holiday rush." The Ghost of Christmas Present says.
"What really gets me are people and their angers. It's like 'hello, people. It is Christmas. Get over it.'" Ghost of Christmas Present states.
"There are three things we need to remember around Christmas.
1. It's about Jesus, not great presents (though we do admit this is a plus).
2. We need to forgive and move on. Grudges and anger need to be gotten over.
3. Christmas is supposed to be a time of peace." The Ghost of Christmas Future tells me.
"How do we get peace?" I ask.
"Eggnog is very peace making. Starbucks is good too. But the best is probably giving back to the community. Like Tiny Tim? Yeah, well. The Tiny Tims of the world need our help. Of course, we are not going to get any peace. Not with all these demented and delusional souls who think the meaning of Christmas is Bah Humbug."
"How do you feel about being Ghost of Christmas Present?" I ask.
"It's hard." Ghost of Christmas Present admits. "I don't get to remember any past Christmases and I don't get to know about any future ones. It can be pretty nerve wracking. Basically I have to depend on the other ghosts when planning the next Christmas, because I can't remember past Christmases nor can I see Future Christmases."
"People wonder what we do all year, when it isn't Christmas. Trust me, we don't sit around on the beach in Hawaii or wherever. We have to research all of our next Christmas cases." Ghost of Christmas Future says.
"So what is it like to be a Ghost of Christmas?" I ask them.
The three ghosts look at each other and laugh.
"Hard, but we love it. Christmas is the best holiday of the year, after all."

Hey! I was googling "queen alyssa" when I found your blog. I also go by that nickname, and wanted to see if my site (which will probably be coming online at the end of December/early January) was accessible through google yet. It'll be queenalyssa.com.
But yeah, so I figured I would read your blog, it's pretty interesting and I'll probably keep reading, I like your stories :)
